The short of it is that I smoothed power using a moving average across 
about a minute of readings and filtered the HR data for zero readings, 
impossibly high readings, and erratic changes.  This resulted in a high 
correlation (.91) between HR and power. After normalizing and some more 
smoothing a pretty picture emerges (just read the graph tabs left to 
right).  Correlations for the raw and smoothed data are on the last tab.
